The RobaDrum 20 and RobaDrum 200 drum melters melt thermoplastic adhesives, polyurethane hot melt adhesives or sealing materials and pump them straight from the drum.

RobaDrum Drum Melters

RobaDrum is a robust, reliable melter for processing hot melt adhesives directly from drum packaging – in 20-litre (RobaDrum 20) and 200-litre (RobaDrum 200) variants. It enables efficient melting of both reactive and non-reactive hot melt adhesives, typically PUR, EVA and PSA, without the need to decant them or handle open adhesive.

Thanks to Melt-on-Demand technology, only the amount of adhesive currently needed is melted, which brings benefits in terms of quality, material savings and long system service life. RobaDrum is the ideal solution for operations where process stability, hygienic operation and high output are crucial.

How does RobaDrum work?

RobaDrum uses a heated melting platen that is lowered directly onto the surface of the adhesive in the drum. This achieves even melting of the top layer without overheating the entire volume. The molten adhesive is immediately conveyed by a pump into a heated distribution line.

Thanks to this design, RobaDrum is also ideal for reactive adhesives sensitive to airborne moisture, such as PUR. The optional inert protection (nitrogen or dry air) further increases processing stability.

RobaDrum is therefore ideally suited not only for PUR but also for highly viscous EVA and PSA adhesives, which are supplied in drums for technical or safety reasons.
