The Delta application head with an angled design for precise, repeatable hot melt adhesive application at robotic and cobotic workstations – available as a spray or jetting head.

Delta is an application head with an angled design, developed specifically for use in robotic systems. The angled shape of the heating body allows precise, repeatable adhesive application close to the product and in every direction. The head is insulated with the CoolTouch system, which protects operators from burns in the event of accidental contact, and is easy to maintain.
Key benefits of the Delta spray head
- flexible application in every direction thanks to the angled design
- precise, repeatable spray application with a clean edge thanks to external air heating
- precise dot and bead application with the AX Diamond jetting element
- easy integration into robotic and cobotic workstations
- simple maintenance and operator protection with CoolTouch insulation
Delta is available in two variants. The spray variant has an external air heater, which allows the spray air temperature to be controlled independently of the adhesive temperature – resulting in a repeatable spray application with a very precise edge, at a width of 6–25 mm. Air flow and pressure are switched and controlled independently of the adhesive via a separate solenoid valve and pressure gauge, allowing fine-tuning of a clean start and end to the application. The jetting variant uses the proven AX Diamond jetting element for precise dot and bead application; an optional short or long nozzle is also suitable for application into corners and onto part edges. Delta processes both thermoplastic and reactive hot melt adhesives.
For easy integration, Robatech offers a special integration kit for collaborative robots (cobots); the head can be controlled directly via PLC using a standard 24 VDC interface. The nozzle is easily replaced by loosening the union nut, and an optional adhesive filter in the heating block reduces nozzle clogging and production outages. This makes Delta suitable for a wide range of robotic workstations, for example in robotic gluing in the automotive industry.
