It is a closed thin-bead application system with precise jetting technology. Contactless application protects both the binding itself and the downstream trimming equipment (triple-cut) from adhesive contamination – the result is higher line efficiency thanks to less frequent cleaning and maintenance. An adjustable holder allows optimal positioning and quick format changes.
SideBead is also suitable for retrofitting existing bookbinding lines – an open wheel-type side gluing unit can be replaced with the closed SideBead jetting system without modifying the rest of the machine. Alongside side gluing, Robatech also offers the SpineCoat coating head for gluing the book spine.
