An electropneumatic jetting head for multi-bead application, developed specifically for automated mattress production and resistant to abrupt changes in direction.

Duero is an electropneumatic application head for multi-bead application, developed specifically for automated mattress production. Its name, derived from "duro"/"durable", points to its key characteristic – robustness and resistance to the constant abrupt changes of direction the head is exposed to on a fast production line.
Key benefits of the Duero jetting head
- robust construction that withstands abrupt changes of direction
- suitable for just-in-time mattress production
- efficient lengthwise and crosswise frame gluing with a single head
- high-flow jetting elements for quality application
- variants with different bead spacing and nozzle diameter depending on the application
The jetting elements are positioned on two sides of the head and are controlled independently – so a single head can glue the mattress frame both lengthwise and crosswise. Up to four jetting elements together supply up to 20 nozzles with liquid hot melt adhesive, with each element serving up to 5 nozzles at once. The same head is also used for gluing the mattress core with a multi-bead pattern in a straight or wavy shape – whether it is a spring core or foam, the longer open time ensures the adhesive reliably bonds the individual layers, including different textile materials.
Duero offers a range of variants with different bead spacing and nozzle diameter (0.5–2.0 mm) – the configuration is selected according to the required application pattern, material and amount of adhesive needed. Control is provided by a PLC (24 V DC) or by pattern control integrated directly into the Robatech melter.
