The EdgePro application head is designed for edge banding in woodworking and furniture production. It applies hot melt adhesive through a slot nozzle evenly across the full width and length of the edge – the result is a clean, precise and repeatable bond with a zero joint line.

Precise edge banding with a zero joint line
EdgePro applies hot melt adhesive through a slot nozzle evenly across the entire board edge (MDF, chipboard, plywood). Once the edge band – ABS, PVC, acrylic, melamine, veneer or solid wood – is pressed on, a strong bond with a practically invisible seam is formed, which is the quality standard in modern furniture production.
Precise application from the start to the end of the edge
A sensor scans the position of the workpiece, so EdgePro applies the adhesive precisely from the beginning to the end of the edge, repeating accurately in the desired quantity. The cut-off is performed by a negative-closing switching element – the application is clean and precise, and the nozzle stays cleaner.
Quick adjustment to the workpiece thickness
The slot nozzle smoothly adjusts to the workpiece thickness in the 65–105 mm range. Setting is done manually via a dial and display with an accuracy of 0.1 mm; motorised automatic adjustment is optionally available for quick switching between formats.
EVA, PO and PUR adhesives and lower maintenance
EdgePro processes thermoplastic EVA and polyolefin (PO) adhesives as well as reactive polyurethane (PUR) adhesives for heat- and water-resistant bonds (viscosity 10,000–100,000 mPa·s). An integrated adhesive filter reduces nozzle clogging and maintenance costs.
Optional mounting bracket and integration into production
An optional mounting bracket allows easy positioning of the application head relative to the workpiece. EdgePro is a dedicated Robatech slot application head for edge banding and, thanks to its slim design, integrates easily into new and existing edge banding centres and CNC machines.
