Vivo 18 is a coating head developed for e-commerce – it applies hot melt adhesive onto release liner and tear strips of shipping packaging. At just 32 mm wide, it is the narrowest coating head on the market.

Thanks to its narrow construction, two heads can be mounted side by side with a minimum gap of 8 mm between the adhesive strips – this makes it possible to combine a single strip of release liner with a single tear strip, or to apply two strips of release liner side by side. The bevelled nozzle also allows adhesive to be applied close to a carton fold or an existing tear strip.
A negative-closing jetting element and fine adjustment of the nozzle position relative to the material ensure an even application with a precise edge and a clean cut-off from start to finish. Even adhesive distribution in the nozzle delivers adhesive savings of up to 30% for release liner applications. A modular mounting bracket with fine adjustment always keeps the head correctly aligned with the material, and the application format is changed easily using interchangeable masks in the nozzle.
