The FK IT coating head for intermittent and continuous coating application of hot melt adhesive onto sheets and webs of material, with masking technology for quick format changes.
FK IT is a range of coating heads for intermittent and continuous application of low to medium viscosity thermoplastic hot melt adhesives. A dual-action solenoid valve with a negative-closing jetting element ensures a precise cut-off and consistent coating weight from start to finish, even at high production speeds and with rapid format changes.

FK IT heads apply adhesive both to continuous webs of material (roll-to-roll) and to individual sheets in folding machines – combined with a feed roller or a specially developed support unit. Masking technology allows quick and inexpensive format changes: different mask shapes and thicknesses flexibly adjust the application pattern and increase process repeatability.
A compact design with a top-mounted connection simplifies integration into the machine, an integrated filter prevents nozzle clogging, and optional CoolTouch insulation protects operators from burns. The nozzle rotates 180° with or against the direction of travel, so the head can also be mounted in hard-to-reach places.
