Polaris is a durable and user-friendly application head for solvent-free dispersion adhesives up to 4,000 mPas. Thanks to its clean and precise spray application in widths from 10 to 100 mm, this electric head is particularly suitable for the economical gluing of paper and cardboard - for example when wrapping with paper, producing fruit trays or in robotically controlled cold glue application. The 24 V DC interface makes system integration easier and enables direct control of the application head via a PLC.

Precise cold glue spray application for reliable processes
The strength of the electric cold glue application head is its high-quality spray application, which is needed for example when wrapping pallets with paper or in robotically controlled applications. The precision, stability and repeatability of the application ensure a reliable process and help keep both the substrate and the machine clean.
The width of the spray application depends on the adhesive used and can be set using the atomising air pressure, the adhesive pressure and the distance from the substrate. Polaris is also suitable for less demanding spray applications, for example for palletising using anti-slip gluing.
Durable and user-friendly application head
Polaris is a durable application head with an electromechanical drive, no dynamic seals and a service life of more than 100 million operating cycles.
It saves time during operation. When the application stops, the proven needle valve closes the nozzle and thus prevents the cold glue from drying out during short interruptions. Wiping the application nozzle with a damp cloth is only necessary before and after a longer shutdown. Another advantage is the quick change of the application nozzle - the nozzle can be removed in a few turns, so cleaning and replacement are quick and easy.
The adhesive application can be started manually directly on the application head using an optional external trigger, for example for a function test or flushing. Using the manual stroke adjustment screw, the amount of applied adhesive can be finely adjusted. Polaris is controlled directly via a PLC through the 24 V DC interface; alternatively, the spray application can be controlled using the Sirius control unit.
